Interesting article from the Telegraph, UK and the comments that follow......Story Link....
I feel slighted. I went and bought the CD the first opportunity I got, and I paid regular CD price b/c I was going to teach the bastard RIAA a lesson. But I guess I am the one learning a lesson. I got the e-mail today with the download link, and it's only 160Kbps MP3's. So I paid CD price expecting all the bits. Now I want an 85% refund, since I'm only getting 15% of my bits. It's really pissing me off. I thought this would be a positive all around, but it's not.
B,In all the forums I frequented abou this it was very clear that the download was lossy MP3, and stated on numerous press releases. It's not a cd, it's an MP3 download...to whet the appetitie until the boxed set and the regualr cd's are released. Hence their "pay what you want" stance.
Anyway I've only listened to it once but so far I like.
