LED is too bright (Bugle PS)
« on: 25 Sep 2007, 03:54 am »
Hiya,

Just fired up the Bugle PS for the first time, output voltages check out, everything looks good. Yay.

The LED is too bright for my taste... can I bump up R3 and R10 to 2K each? Would this halve the brightness of the LED like I think it would?

Can I just add on to one of the LED leads, or do R3 & R10 have to be increased symmetrically?

Thanks!

Just found this post:

indicates that increasing the resistors in series is the way to go... but still have a question about increasing them symmetrically or just tying onto one of the LED leads? Just curious.

Thanks

Use 1Meg or higher to suit your taste.  No need to use two( one each leg, why bother?).
