Red LED from inside the chassis when power up.
« on: 29 Aug 2007, 06:11 pm »
Hello

Have a pair of 7B SST - when power up one amp. a red LED is lightning from inside the chassis for half a second - is it normal or time for service? This is just for one channel - I think.

Hi James;

Could be something a bit strange with the LED driver circuit on that amp.  Hard to say without looking at it.

The same occur for both amplifiers – it’s easily to spot in the dark when powering up the 7B SST.
If you look at the amps from above – and think about geometry, you can see a red flash in middle of first quadrant.
I don’t worry about it – amps performance is stunning I was just curious.

If you're really curious, this is a question best left to the manufacturer...

Hi,

I should have made this clearer - Mike above is a Bryston factory technician.
