Vishay bulk metal-foil resistors sound

Hi all,

Does anyone know what type of improvement from simply changing to Vishay bulk-metal foil resistors?

Example:
"Vishay bulk-metal foil resistors replace the already high quality Caddock resistors in the plate-loading circuit."

"Vishay bulk metal-foil resistors also replace the standard metal film resistors as the shunt element in the volume control circuit. "

Do you hear the difference between Vishay vs Caddock?

Thanks,

Levi

Hey!

Well, I've never use Vishay. So , I've no idea what they are better than Caddock :? But they are sure cost a lot more than the Caddock.

   For example... Caddock MK132 1K cost $3.95 each and Vishay S102 1K cost $11.50 each. :D

BTW... I do have Caddock (MK132) resistors in my pre and my SET monoblocs and no complaint here. :D

I do need to increase the step of my attenuators. I might try the Vishay this time to replace the Caddock (TF020) but at different value. But even with different value I think this should tell me which one is better.

Take care,
