Just for fun, I will be bringing out my modded Trends TA-10 amp with a 12 volt version of the Ultimate PS.

It ought to play very well with the Teresonics :D

The latest rev to the Ultimate PS is sounding really nice. I hope you guys like it.

The weather forecast looks a bit scary. 103 or so on Tuesday, which is when I move my daughter into the third floor of the dorm (excuse me, Residence Hall). The building she is in was built in 1947 and has no elevators  :(

Welcome to Missouri in August...

I spent last Tuesday moving my son and 14 other boys OUT of their 'frat house' that didn't pass inspection to be a frat house.  Fortunately it's a 1 story and a basement.

I'll be thinking of you Wayne.  See ya Wednesday.

When I go back to see family (right across the river) the humidity is so bad it’s like someone punching me right in the chest.
I too would recommend the toasted ravioli, my wife’s favorite.

Good Luck
Pete

What is the MSRP of the Cyper-10? I couldn't find it on the web site.

It looks really interesting, how is it sounding?

Jamie,

I'm nott sure but I think its well under $2k. It sounds pretty good with a traditioanal source. I haven't started breaking in the onboard DAC yet. Should be interesting because its a JFET gain stage rather than the traditional OPAMP.

Sturg,

I think I've got everything covered. Are you goimg to make it out for pizza?

Hey guys, I'm back in town so wanted to check in ...

I'm planning on making it over, but only if my RX-7 is back from the body shop by then.  My custom paint and body kit install was supposed to be done Monday, but will probably get pushed back to mid-week.  Without it back we only have one car, which my wife drives for work.

That would be awesome, thanks a bunch!  I'll send you my address ...

I was at the body shop today watching as they sprayed my kit with the paint, a killer metallic red from Lotus called Chili Red.  OMG does it look incredible!  But the car probably won't be ready until Friday.

I made it to Scott's place today. My wife and I had a very good time.

Many thanks to Scott and Laura and their kids for the wonderful hospitality.

The St. Louis style pizza was great and so was the beer selection.

Scott is a very lucky guy to have such an understanding wife to let him have THREE separate rooms with three separate systems.

The main rig sounded really good. I do think the addition of the "new" Ultimate Power supply MKIV helped. The Burson Buffers, both stock and modded made quite a difference.

It was great to see Deadfish and Bryan again. It was really nice to meet and chat with Sturgis.

It has been a very busy past few days and my legs are still killing me from moving in my daughter yesterday.

I hope to talk about the listening session some more when I get back to Denver.

I will say the recording I heard of Tocatta and Fugue at Christchuurch was THE best organ recording I have ever heard.

Thanks to all that came out this evening. And a special thanks to Wayne and his lovely wife who drove an extra two hours after safely delivering his daughter to Mizzou to come see a few of the GAS guys.

Wayne brought lots of very cool toys. I've got a feeling that you guys out there with analog modded SB's will eventually succumb to the Bolder modified Burson buffer. None of us here wanted it to make that big of difference......but it did. Like everybody else here, we are all trying to figure out how to sneak one of these in the house without our wives finding out about it.

Unfortunately, I only took a couple of pics
Here is a pic from the back side of the Blue Room showing the guys listening to the system

...and here is one of Wayne swapping out power supplies on the SB's

I had a great time. It was good to see Wayne again (its been a few years).

Thanks everybody for making it out on a week night  :thumb:

My thanks to Wayne for allowing us the chance to hear his great stuff. All I can say is I hope this lottery ticket comes in . The P/S is fantastic. I hope that I can get one in my system soon. Sometimes I am amazed that things that should not make a difference often do. That P/S just got rid of glare that I didn't even know was there. Looks like I will be saving pennies for a while. As always, thank you Scott for a great time.

More thanks to Wayne for coming the extra couple hours to see us.

The stock Burson buffer was a nice improvement.  As much as I didn't want the modded one to be much different, IMO it wasn't even close.  The soundstage, dynamics and space/separation were at a whole 'nother level with the modded buffer.

That's exactly what we heard at my place.

I can't wait to have one permanently in my system!

Yeah - I'm afraid I'm going to be writing a check soon.  I hate it when that happens.

By all means, what everyone else said.
I swear, I had my sweaty checkbook in my hands, and then the modded buffer got installed.
Sheesh! I'm gonna have to quit smoking another whole year to pay for all this stuff, but <drool!>  it sure sounded good.

Many thanks for dropping in our way with your wife and goodies Wayne.
Kind of like the upgraded Squeezebox, I didn't want to want one, but I wouldn't listen without it now.

It was grand seeing everyone last nite.  Your system was sounded real good last nite Scott!

Take care driving across the flatland, Wayne!

Best Regards,
Bill
