I am getting closer to pure music here. The Poiema's are definitely keepers. The Pure Notes are very, very good also. To me they are just a tad bit down the scale because they have a little less snap and a skosh less detail. So I prefer the Poiema. I can see how the Pure Note may even be a better, more true, cable after switching them back and forth. They are no slouch whatsover and may, in fact, be a better choice for someone's system synergy. I did all this evaluation with the Reality IC in the pre-amp path throughout.
Heaven, though, is just at the doorstep when the Pure Note replaces the Reality in the pre-amp path. At first I didn't notice any difference in this path between the Reality and Pure Note, but there is some more detail and depth with 2 silver cables in the system. Kinda splitting hairs here, but for the money, the Realities are a great choice any day of the week.
I have a line on a used set of Silversmith IC's that I may purchase and try. Hopefully I can do this before the 20 day trial for the Pure Notes ends.
I am also using Reality SC's and love them. I hooked them directly to my mid/twt versus direct to the woofer toda and the sound jumped up a notch as result. Looks like I need better jumper cables. I did this switcheroo before I tried out the IC's today.
I actually found myself hearing music versus listening to the system today. Tapping the heck out of my foot.
