A cartridge should be matched w/ the mass of the tonearm and should work well w/ your phonostage. A high compliance cartridge, such as the AT 440mla recommended, works best with a lower mass arm. The Denon DL-103, which is a low compliance cartridge, requires a medium to high mass arm for control. The gain available at your phono stage may preclude the use of LOMC cartridge as was mentioned above. You didn't mention what tonearm you are using.
You can consult the manufacturers specifications of your tonearm to get some rough parameters of what cartridges would be a good match. There is also a vinyl section of this board where more advice is always available.
