Repair of Perreaux......NYC

I have a used Perreaux 3150B power amp that I believe needs some repair (new caps?). Does anyone know of a real good service Tech in the NYC tri state area?

Can you describe the problems with the Perreaux? Just curious as to why you may think it is the capacitors.

this possible problem dissuaded me from buying a perreaux amp. check on the audiogon forums-do a search with terms like "perreaux" and "repair"... I remember reading about a guy in california who can repair perreaux amps. hope this helps.

My
3150B has two problems: the first is a hum coming from one channel (I can
live with this), the other is something I'm not sure of. Every once in a
while I hear a sound (sounds like a sneaker scuffing a gym floor??.....).
Do you have any idea what this is? It is not load, however I'm a bit
nervous. Any comments?
