Hi Hugh,
After getting a new remote, I find that the GK-1R motorised volume pot moves a bit too far for each press of the volume up/down buttons.
This is obviously to do with the remote sending somewhat longish bursts of infrared, but unfortunately the bursts are not adjustable.
Fortunately, this would be fairly easy to remedy by slowing down the motorized volume pot in the GK-1R instead.
I suppose inserting an appropriately sized resistor in one of the leads to the motor will do the trick - or it could be done directly on the control PCB.
The question is: What would an appropriately sized resistor be to reduce speed by 50%?
Also, any caveats?
