sticky buttons on SP1.7 remote

Any maintenance procedure for the buttons on the SP1.7 remote?  They're getting sticky and hard to push after it hasn't been used for awhile.

HI,

Not heard of that before - if you activate them repeatedly do they loosen up?
Every button is sticky?

Mainly the power button, and the up/down volume to some extent.  I'm away for 10 day stretches at a time, and when I get back the buttons have to be pushed extra hard the first time.  They kind of "snap" down once they move, then they're OK for the next few days.

The previous owner may well have spilled something on it.  Can I disassemble the remote to clean it?  Or maybe take some rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip and try and get around and under the buttons?

Thanks and sorry to bother about such a trivial thing.

Sure - have a look and give it a good cleaning.
