Just bought this Rega P3 with the full meal deal off the 'gon http://cgi.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cl.pl?anlgtabl&1185397508
Seems like a decent deal with the upgrades (a WHITE TT??)
Offered to pay extra for professional packing but the seller assures me he will pack it well and knows what he is doing and one of his feedback comments is 'best packer ever' :P
Will start holding my breath when I get the tracking number...I hope it catches a non-stop from Maryland :green:
Roll them dice 8)

Good luck ETR. Heard great things about that Rega. Can't wait to hear about your impressions. :D You have a great attitude, right back up on the horse!! Haha Good for you.

Good luck! I'll keep my fingers crossed. (Couldn't you find anything on the west coast? )

Well worth it for the cartridge, arm and arm mods alone.  And a Rega should be easy to ship as it's a very simple table.   I assume he'll remove the cartridge for shipment.  So you'll need a protractor to align the cart.  I like this paper one:

I can't tell if he has a spacer on the arm for the Dynavector, but I'm sure he must as it needs it just for clearance.   I used a 4mm spacer for the 10x5, some people use the 2mm (it also depends on how thick your platter mat is).  Once things are settled in, you might consider adding the Michell VTA adjuster and finger nut so you don't have to remove the arm or use tools to adjust VTA.

Dave-did you use the standard felt mat with the spacer? I have a Herbies mat that I am planning on using with the P3. Thanks.

I've shipped numerous Rega's without a problem.  If he kept the shipping materials, shipping a Rega is pretty much a no-brainer  8)

Yeah, standard felt mat on a circa 2000 Planar 3 (just before the P3 came out; my timing is nothing if not impeccable).
