And why does the reviewer has no explanation that Peter Belt's things work?
And why the photograph experiment failed?
Would the two of you please stop your bickering for God's sake?! One more word out of either of you and you'll be both going to bed without dinner!
In a 2004 Positive Feedback review this was said:"Michael Wolff's interest in power cords began four years ago, when he noticed positive improvements brought about by his use of an aftermarket cord. About two years ago, he made a cord of his own, one that he felt sounded pretty good. He ran an ad on Audiogon entitled "Another Damn Power Cord." The phrase was so catchy that he actually sold some, and customers liked it. After about a year, he got into some heavy R&D, using the knowledge of graphite composite materials that he had acquired working for an aerospace company."So Michael is no newcomer to the scene. Heck he discovered that power cords make a difference a full 6 or 7 years ago.Now he feels confident to say:"Years of experience with cable design has distinguished that component design benefits from specific designs and materials." Hard to argue with that. Hard to know what exactly is being said, in fact.Let me tell you, hotbird, that Steve Eddy has genuine engineering credibility in my books and that the cynical obfuscation, to use the polite term, that I see throughout Michael Wolff's site is an insult to those seeking to advance the science of music reproduction.I say cynical because I can't believe that it is not done with conscious intention.
As for spite, I see more spite in your disparaging remarks of Acoustic Revive's efficacies and their work.
Acoustic Revive has 83 products in the catalog, what have you ?
If they are pixie dust peddlers, they certainly are very successful as their products have been selling and working for many users in the East.
Thank you.....
Brownies for everybody!! Steve's cooking tonight.

........But none of this negates what Steve is objecting to, which is the language being used to describe or explain the phenomena. Steve patently objects to anyone telling others, especially in matters of science, "trust me". Part of the problem is the translation from Japanese to English. It's likely that what we're reading is the result of a translation program, rather than a sentient being doing the work. But the products do work, whatever the real explanation might be.
Specifically, while I agree that the technical explanation, IMO, qualifies as twaddle, I'd be interested is finding out what exactly is going on. Could I duplicate whatever efficacy with a sheet of grounded aluminum foil between components? Mu Metal? Is it functioning as a 'sink' for rfi and/or magnetic flux? Does it work best with components that leak like a sieve such as NuForce amps? Curious minds need to know.
