Apparently, Marvel was really unhappy with the first movie; didn't feel it lent itself well to a continuing story (ie. sequels et al).  The new "Hulk" movie will also be produced by the new Marvel Studio (instead of just licensing out the character to another studio).

Edward Norton has been cast as the new Bruce Banner.  Liv Tyler as Betty Ross.  William Hurt has signed on as Thunerbolt Ross.

Hmm, I didn't hate the Hulk movie that bad.  I thought it was better than Ghost Rider, Fantastic 4, and Daredevil.  I haven't seen the new Fantastic 4 yet, but that will be the next one I go to.

I thought The Hulk had all the right elements going for it...thought the cast was spot-on, the director had a great reputation for character development, the budget was big enough.  But in the end, I thought they tried to do too much, and didn't get deep enough into any aspect of the story.  When watching it, I just never really got drawn into it.

On the other hand, Ghost Rider and Daredevil were two movies where I kept rolling my eyes at the acting and the story.

I didn't see Daredevil, but I'll echo that for Ghost Rider. I thought it was pathetic. Embarrassingly so.

At least there'll be one good thing about the movie I guess. Will find out myself if it's terrible or not when I find a place to live and get my discs and system out of storage...

Ghost Rider was decent enough for me to purchase the Blu ray.
If you really want to see crap....check out Evan Almighty. :lol:

The sound on the Dolby TrueHD track is really, really, really good...if you have a receiver that can accept the HDMI input.  Mine is an Onkyo 604 (I spend my money on 2 Channel equipment) which has 2 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output.  I have both an HD DVD player and a Blu-Ray (PS3) player and a Panasonic 1080p Plasma television.  Great looking picture (except for a few CGI shots which look poor compared to most of the CGI in the movie) and sound.  I would really like to hear a movie with the DTS version of an "Original Master Quality" soundtrack since it is supposed to have even better sound than the Dolby HD.

Saw this movie a few days ago... apart from the couple of "grandcharging" ( sequence of useless acts ~imo) acts, I found it a fairly decent action movie...I never read the comics. Very cool bike and fiery chains.  :thumb:

Theres also an uncompressed PCM track on this disc which I ended up just renting now that Blockbuster has Blu-ray.

I watched it on a long plane ride to Europe.  It was entertaining considering it was free and the other crappy movies Delta was offering at the time were no better.  I'm glad I didn't pay for it, however I never was expecting it to be great.
