Thanks Jim. I was looking for the same answers.Looks like the Duet will fit the bill for my needs. The Haley Looks nice, but I only need 4 inputs.
Looking for the most reasonable power conditioner for the money. Should be at least 900 watter. What does the "mob" have to say??Thanks....
I’ve tried a variety of power conditioners in my system and in a friends. From the multi thousand dollar Furman Reference, the popular Monster to cheap APS’s and quite frankly I find that NONE are acceptable with any type of power amp. From a 2 watt SET to a 400 watt SS amp. Plugging the amps directly into the wall outlet was by far the best sounding under all conditions and circumstances. This also applies to the preamp. Still, the expensive Furman IT-Reference was the absolute best sounding power conditioner I have ever heard, leagues better then anything else.
PS Audio Duet ($395 for 2 duplexes) or Quintent ($695 for 4 duplexes) don't offer balanced power but do a good job of filtering noise, isolating and protecting against surges.Blue Circle Music Rings (about $900 bucks for 1200 watts balanced power) are good. They show up on Agon for around 600 bucks used and I think are $935 shipped from their distributors.BPT offers good quality, great options for flexibility and good pricing. From filtering units through balanced power. Check their website. The APC units have gotten good reviews and are reasonably priced.
