Actually, if anything, Ive had a bit tougher time with the side firing woofers.
In some rooms, especially smaller ones, those side firing woofers have been
tough to get a bump out of the bass.
The best results I've had in my main listening room has been with the speakers
in a corner arrangement rather than in the standard thirds setup.
Of course all of this will vary with your room size, ceiling height and the like.
I would just suggest if you have a pair of these type of speakers home to try out
and you can't get the bass where you want it, try a corner setup, it might
be the magic that you are seeking!
