Also, don't try to match a CO resident drink for drink in the lounge.    We are very used to the altitude and you will find you will get drunk a lot quicker at this altitude.

Hmmmm...I didn't have that problem.. ...I must be immune to that condition. :jester:

I love how Denverians create all these altitude related wives-tales ... your lips get chapped, you'll get drunk faster, the altitude makes you a sexual dynamo

Gimmie a break, we're not falling for it anymore :nono:

Lonewolfny42 - So is there going to be a debut of a new NY Audio RAVE demo CD this year? Pretty please!  I LOVED the last one and now use it all the time to feel out changes to my system.   Many thanks. Tom

As a person who goes out to the Denver area multiple times a year, I can definitely say that these aren't wives' tales.

Especially how dry things are compared to the North East part of the country.

I invite you to try and dig a hole in my property. Dry doesn't even begin to describe it. My wife came here from Chicago in the 70's and overdid it in her first few days and was very sick. It's not a joke. Water, drink lots of water and if you plan on spending time outdoors bring sun glasses. It's supposed to be very nice this week and the sun will be very bright and has plenty of UV.

Psh, your UV rays and bone dry air don't scare me.  I'll take some chapped lips over heat stroke any day

Yeah, I don't think anyone needs the help - just try and imagine what someone called Big Red Machine might look like, that's him.  :)

You might dig up a dead animal as well... gotta do something with them when they die. :) Or worse... don't dig near the septic tank or leach field... grim...

No joke, my wife wanted to plant some bulbs a couple weeks ago and asked for help digging a hole. I could make almost no progress with a shovel and I'm not a small guy. I ended up using a 4lb sledge to hammer a wrecking bar into the ground and prying chunks out. Ugly. Next trip to orange depot resulted in the purchase of a large pick axe. Not something I ever thought I'd need. The ground out here is just nasty hard.

Exhibitors and room numbers

Is there a list of exhibitors with corresponding room numbers available on the audiofest site?  I could only click on each individual one to get it.

THe closest thing on the website is the maps linked on the lower-left on this page - http://audiofest.net/2007/exhibitors_main.php?Sid=42a365cf42348fff0e30f10f47e318a7

On the map of each floor, you can hover your mouse over each room to see who's in it.  I don't know why this isn't featured more prominently on the website.

At the event, I expect they'll hand out exhibitor directories like they have in the past.

Oh, I didn't see the mouse over part (I guess I'm too lazy).

I was really hoping to have a directory to mark up on the plane flight.  I finally just printed the exhibitor list and will look up each of the ones I know I want to visit first.

Thanks for pointing this out!

Maybe next year we can figure out something that isn't so mouse-dependent -- sounds like a few others may welcome this as well.

It would also be great if there were a way for each vendor to have a list of what equipment they have in each room.  Every time I've gone in search of a particular piece  that is featured in a room that may not otherwise have any interest for me, I've always learned something or found a new piece of gear -- some of which I subsequently purchased.

I found out today that the Great American Beer Festival is sold out, so if you were thinking of attending and don't have tickets, you're out of luck.

Sunday and Monday (if needed) are Rockies playoff games in town, but again it is sold out.

I also heard about another event in town this weekend: the Tattoo and Body Art Expo: http://www.bodyartexpo.com/
