Hey nice find! I see robert has already been there :thumb: this could be the start of something new...I'm looking for a more powerful amp to compliment my Trends. I've alerted M. Mardis and asked him to check itout and report; maybe order if he like the look of it. Where does this guy come from? Another Hong Kong geniues?

Seems like another eye-opening possibility for digital amps, internet spawned cottage industry, and cheap eastern labor.  Do keep us posted.  Wonder if they offer a power amp only option?

Little dot is makes the famous headphone amps....  they are well known on head-fi.org.

I like the look of this amp :)

Is the price really that low at diykits?    How does the ta2022 compare with the ta2024 chip?

Not that I need all this power  :o  2 watts is enough for me I think

After I get my mains conditioner, I'm probably going for surround sound with the trend for the fronts and a teac 700 for the center and rears....    I recently got one of those creative decoders and am hooked on surround sound  :o            It's a shame,  it costs a lot of money...

WOW , that is very very cheap!!!    Shippig won't be more than a hundred I think....

This thing will probably drive the crap out of my soon to be arriving Hawthorne Silver Irises.

That is a really nice looking piece, if the sound can keep up, or be modded to, it seems like nice value, for 60wpc of Tripath cleanliness!

If I read that right, is it an extra $20 for a tube-based preamp stage?

It looks like the forum is sort of the english speaking mouthpeice for the actual Chinese firm. I mailed the guy for more info. They make it in 110 or 220 v. I think somebody is very clever over there. they've been
watching which way the wind is blowing. From the picture it should be possible to get a good idea of the implimentaion and the thinking behind this. It's out of my league. Anybody?

Please let us all know when you hear more info. Given shipping, a group buy on these might be a sweet deal.

Brad - that's the way I took it regarding the tube preamp stage. If it's any good at all that's an insane price!

here's the first info I have
"The tube section is a pre-amp stage which increases dynamics and soundstage
a bit.  The Little Dot T_100 is $320 including shipping to France.  The tube
stage upgrade option is an additional +$20.  The Little Dot T_100 is also
fully assembled and ready to use immediately.
As for shipping time, you can expect your Little Dot T_100 generally 4-10
business days after payment." Any thoughts about parts quality anyone?

Adding a mild steel shield around the toroidal would go a long way, notice how the speaker outputs laying right up against it?

Price from Eddie for shipping to the USA is $119.70 for 3 to 5 day Express.  Thats more than I expected.  I am checking with him to see if there is cheaper shipping available.  Foe express shipping, that brings the shipped price to $291.70 US.  Not as good as a deal as I thought.  If I get more info on rates I will post.

that's a lot of money for shipping! Id' rather do it the slow way. Unless someone beats me to the punch, as soon as I get a green light from M. Mardis, I going for it! what the hell, you only live once and it looks very promising. Sure, there's going to be some new parts cost...M. has some ideas already floating. So, here we go/// tube rolling suggestions??

Surface shipment to USA is $63 US according to Eddie or $235 US total shipped.  Don't know what delivery time would be though.

That's not to bad ....     Does this tube stage act as a buffer?   , adding a bit of gain?

Because i've been using my analog bolder modded sqeeuzebox straight into the trends ta-10 and compared it to Squeezebox-coax-Creative ddts-100 decoder/dac -- trends ta-10 ,   and find that the latter is much more dynamic and makes you sit a the edge of your seat.

While The creative dac does not have the same "audiophile " quality's ,    I do prefer it on some music pieces.
