Hi guys how you have been doing
Ive been at large department stores lately in sydney australia to see whats
on offer in the latest technology
Audio
we'll i am afraid 99.9% is crap with the capital C, you'd be amazed at
the low end stuff thats currently on offer, audio it seems is going
downhill in consumer electronics, most of the stuff even those not
coming from china are becoming so low end and cheap i wonder what
is happening to the market, i remember the seventies and eighties where
you had access to alot of good equipment sold in most general electrical
stores
video
here the trend is confusing you have plasma lcd crt all three being in the
race for a wide variety of customers, plasma and lcd remain head to head
in terms of performance while crt is going from cheap to cheap for a different
wide market all together, an interesting product i saw was a sanyo crt tv
claiming reduction in size and depth of cabinet not screen size and with a
marketing motto as thin as lcd, apparently this model used a wide angle
deflection crt and had reduced depth so much so it looked really thin not as
much as lcd or plasma but i wonder is there a trend of development there
is crt going to compete in size just think that such development could be
on its way to revolutionise the crt geometry this product clearly showed
innovation there although this has been done before by bang and olefsen
a danish brand in the eighties i see potential there for more development
if the big japanese makers find it interesting the potential for thin crt could
be unleashed
hope you enjoyed my report!
cheers
