I'm not sure if you would absolutely have to have them fixed to a base if you have batting or insulation wrapped around them for spacing, enough to make it snug inside. The 1.5" wall thickness in the 16 and 22" are pretty sturdy and don't move much even when given a good knock, the 9" may be another story, but I don't plan on them being moved around much once they're dialed in....
looks like a long weekend ahead with all this information floating around for us to test out, wear long sleeves and bring your work gloves....
50Hz wavelength is approximately 10 feet so to have a trap centered and filtering at that would require one that is approximately 30" in diameter.
At double the density, the 705 doesn't seem to do a heck of a lot more compared to the 703, in fact, it seems to do less at times in the low frequency region. Or am I reading something wrong?
