With or without the "Best Of" award I still feel fortunate to have the Signature-30. It sounds like the Sig-70's are ready to be on the 2007 "Best Of". I'm really happy for you.

Recognition for ones work is a great thing.
Awards for ones work is something to cherish and inspire.
But you are already ahead of the curve with the Sig 70s.
I wish I could say 'take a break and enjoy the holidays' but I think we all know better.

You deserve this.

Nice work Vin. Srajan is the reviewer I identify with best - just look at our respective systems. My opinion is this award from him is as good as it gets.

Congratulations, Vinnie! Very nice testimony to all your hard work. So far I'm extremely impressed with the workmanship that went into my 70s -- they are truly a creation to be extremely proud of (and I haven't even listened to them yet -- hopefully today the Revo's will arrive...)

Vinnie,

Srajan is one of the few people in audio who I respect as much as I respect you. Having your Signature 30 chosen for that honor is high praise from a self-confessed tube addict. Do you get a certificate or a trip to Hawaii or anything like that?
Maybe they'll give you a free on-line subscritption.

No trip to Hawaii, but I did get a free on-line subscription and so did everyone else on audiocircle

WOW!!! This was the first thing I read upon returning home this am; a real heartwarmer, Vinnie, congrats!!

It seems like yesterday I was being burned at the stake over on Audio Salem for being an advocate of the Tripath sound, remarking that it had a sonic reminiscent of tubes. Immediately, shrieks of "Heresy!!" were heard echoing throughout the land. The heretics being accused, myself and JCC,(Jesse Cornelison,) were tried, found guilty, burned, and our ashes scattered to the winds by the Thermionists, the Pentodists, and most vocal were the fundamental adherents to the Holy Triode. I could not have foreseen the ridiculous responses from some of these people. ...Now, we have the Signature 30, an entirely optimized total customized T amp, late generation Tripath magic box which has been widely accepted by even the most strident of the Triodists as a fabulously musical machine. So, that it has been awarded a 6Moons Big Time Medal of Honour, is not only sweet news for a friend, but abit of vindication, for myself.

For the very first time, in my opinion, there is a solid state amp that will make tube-o-philes musically happy, a non tube amp that can hang with the really sweet stuff. A tube amp without the tubes is an interesting thing.

It is impossible to establish contact with you, Vinnie, and not be ultimately swept into a
very rewarding and affectionate relationship with you... it is one of the most
wonderful benefits of working with audio designers directly, that over time, you can
actually establish a friendship that is truly meaningful... and in your case, fascinating!!!

Your laser beam intelligence, humor and warmth are inimitable and irreplaceable!!!

Who would want to purchase their all-important amplifier from a neurotic salesman
that works in a haughty store that reeks of snooty attitudes and moldy opinions
when they could have direct access to the genius and intelligence of the actual
designer of the amp himself and purchase it directly from him?

Hi-End Audio is at its best as a cottage industry with clients having direct access
to the designers themselves... that is as lovely and exciting as it gets... that is how
I choose to "relate" to high end audio... and low and behold we have here a real
genius of amplifier design, who you can talk with, and work with, and learn from...
and his products are sold at a fraction of what you would pay if they were heavily
advertised and you purchased them through a retail store ~

These are marvelous times to be interested in audio precisely because we have
designers like Vinnie developing astoundingly good amplifiers backed-up with
extraordinary service... and only a phone or email away ~

Congratulations, Vinnie, on receiving recognition from Srajan (a highly sophisticated
observer of the entire audio scene and critical listener in his own right)
for your marvelous Signature 30 amplifier design... of course I am not at all
surprised... I flipped when I received my Signature 30 and heard the magic that
it creates ~

Deb and I listen to our Signature 30 playing music everyday... it is an amplifier
you can fall in love with!!!!
