I don't think that this has been posted; see the fifth paragraph of this summary:

Robert Harley was finishing his listening session in the Odyssey room on Saturday when I went back up with a Latte for Klaus. I did not want to mention it because I was afraid I might jinx it  .

Despite the accident it was a great weekend for Odyssey. I was in the room when the people from Soundstage and Positive Feedback stopped in and they were impressed.

Klaus did not bring a Tempest. There was a Candela on the main system (that you've seen the pictures of) and an Estesian off to the side that was not in use. A Symphonic pre was used on the Picture speaker system (driven by a lone Khartago).

Klaus also had some new top plates for the Stratos. They have vents running down the sides that allow the blue light from the face plate to shine through the top. They aren't needed for cooling as the Stratos runs quite cool. You can see them in the 6 Moons picture.

Potential dust issue for the Monos? It's not like I want to be turning off/unhooking/pulling mine out every so often to clean the innards. However, different strokes for different folks...

A definate risk in my abode . where dust bunnies are fodder for the dust lions, dust tigers, dust bears, oh my!

They looked cool in a dark room and Klaus seemed to enjoy the blue light eminating from within. I have a feeling he's mulling optional changes in the amps appearance.

Lots of components have holes on the cover.  My Stratos never runs hot so maybe a "sun roof."

Regarding the "new" top plate (cover's):

My mono's mirror those of Klaus.
Silver face's, black main body and silver top plate with what I guess you'd call vent holes running down the sides of them. Very cool !!!!! and you're right, the blue led light does reflect through the top cover and looks very nice in a dark room. Calming and relaxing in fact.

The holes were really designed for the DM  and the HT 3.  I don't like gear to run any more than warm to the touch(e.g.  the tubes in the Candela are not even warm to the touch,  by design),  even though some of it is designed this way,  such as the RG 1 and 4's of SL.   The blue haze effect over the amp tops is just an unforeseen,  but super cool and sexy side effect.  Love it.

As for Robert Harley,  it was really the first time in all these years that he spent a good time in my room.  Usually I don't get too many reviewers of the big papers anyway,  but I also don't make too much of an effort either.  Imagine with several reviews in those mega magazines:  I would probably be at 3 months back order,  aaaargh.  Anyway,  I was probably the first person to completely turn off the lights (like in dark!) when he listened,  which I think irritated him at first.  BUT  when I turned on the lights after the songs,  he just sat still for nearly a minute,  in disbelief.  Yes,  I am honest,  it felt really,  really good,  and he couldn't stop giving me compliments afterwards.   im was there and saw it as well.

Anyway,  let's see what happens next,  but as for my experience,  RH  was extremely nice.

Late,
Klaus

Klaus: If you ever got that many orders you might be able to afford to expand your workforce by 50%, up to 3.75 people  :P .

RH did seem quite impressed.

Klaus turned off the room lights so often that I thought he had some female companionship stowed away behind the Loreleis  aa . The blue glow from the gear was a nice effect. The logo on the Candela does have a bit of a 3D effect thanks to the tubes.

Nope,  not behind the Loreleis.  Did her in the bathroom each time.

Klaus,

You're a bad bad man. I had horrible flash backs that looked like a rerun from "Bad Santa" based on that comment. :) As you stated when I asked about your back, "Don't ask"!

Considering how much stuff you had stored in that bathroom she had to be very thin! :smoke:

...and you thought the back injury was due to the accident?   :shh:
