Help, please
« on: 24 Oct 2006, 03:02 am »
I have 2 new Odyssey Monos which I just turned on a few minutes ago.
Question:
My preamp's Main Output jacks provide a signal of inverted absolute phase.
If I don't reverse the connections on both speaker cables at the power amps or
the speakers can I do it by reversing the RCA's going from the preamp to the
power amps?  Will this maintain proper absolute phase?
I guess what I am also asking is - what is the proper way to connect this?
Appreciate the help please.

Swapping the RCA's will just change the left-right channels.

You have to swap the + and - cables at the amp or speaker

That's exactly correct above. However many recordings are done out of phase. So in effect either way you do it you're still not right alot of the time :o
