Does anyone think the Velo SPL1000 II will not be suitable for my room
I know its hard to tell since this sub is not out yet BUT any thoughts on the SVS SB12-Plushttp://www.svsound.com/products-sub-box-sb12plus.cfm
Great sub company, plenty of features, nice looks. The PEQ will help alot.
The driver and amp are about the same, however the onboard DSP in the 'R' series allows fine tuning for even better performance over series II units. In addition there are presets, four-way phase control, a night and mute function and my favorite, the ability to change volume up and down at listening position with the hand held remote. After using a 'R', I wouldn't want to go back. Hope this helps.
The SPL1000 II does not have the room EQ it is the older version No EQ Or remote
I never understood the remote level control for a sub -- you calibrate the level once and forget it -- so no real loss in my book.
I have SVS subs in one room and like them. But this is such a screaming deal for so much tighter bass http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=30703.0 that I would go for them in a heartbeat if I didn't already have 2 largers. Heck, I may go for them anyway so I can have push-pull just like John Casler.
