I like 16 ga. black colored lamp cord. It's about .11 cents a foot and one lead has ribs on it to keep the phasing correct. I use it on all of my AVA amps and they sound great.
My AVA T7 preamp has an IEC connector with just a few inches of Franks original lamp cord out the back. I’ve tried several different power cords and each and everyone sound different.
Although I have not heard his cables myself, many people I respect have heard these and like them quite a bit.
http://myaudiocables.com/Decware Cables are also said to be very good for the money:
http://decware.com/newsite/speakercables.htmI’ve used JPS IC’s and liked them a lot. But I agree with the Synergistic cables and wire are hard to beat for the money. If I were to buy new speaker cables I’d buy either a Synergistic or an MIT. The MIT S3’s are excellent, they have solid and abundant bass that’s tight, with well balanced mids and highs with a great big sound stage in comparison to most other speaker cables at any price.
