If you limit it to one album, I know I've worn through at least one copy of The Allman Brothers Band Fillmore East, though I forget if I went through Yessongs first.

Added... (post reading other's)
If you picked the best tracks from Guns N Roses Use your Illusion I & II and made it one album I think it would easily grace the list.
As Gordy points out below... Jimi Hendrix - Are you Experienced I'd place here too, maybe even Beggars Banquet.
Pearl Jam - Ten, I'll concede
Alice in Chains - Dirt
But no way would I add Master of Puppets (by Metallica) even though it is one of my favorite of theirs.  Just too many filler songs like with all their albums.  Two of the worst Metallica songs are on this album so I think this disqualifies it in my mind.
How could we forget AC/DC - Back in Black??
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Jane's Addiction - Ritual De La Habitual
A little known album that I would place here is
Finger Eleven - Greyest of Blue Skies

I'd also place Fugazi - 13 Songs on the list but I think it is a compilation of their history, which disqualifies it.

Wow I like Trilogy, it is up there in my list. I like a lot of progressive rock like Yes, ELP, and I would probably add Pink Floyd here and Alan Parsons Project, yet I like country rock, delta, blues, texas rock. This would include Alman Bros, Neil Young and some CSNY stuff, Little Feat, Stevie Ray. So what qualifies for Rock n' Roll among my favorites? The Who, Brian Wilson and the Boys, The Beatles, Led Zep, Eric Clapton in many bands. Now Viacom (the people who brought us MTV VH1 CMT and now BET) Country is rehashing all the Classic Rock styles. For me a nearly impossible task to name one album or song. But fun to think about it all.

I like "live" rock and roll, even when touched up in the studio...

Anything live by Led Zeppelin.  Even their worst 1980 European bootlegs have great moments.  Clearly the ultimate live rock n' roll band.  Easily available are "The Song Remains the Same (noticeable studio touch-ups) and "How the West Was Won".  Tons of bootlegs out there, Dallas 3-4-75 is highly recommended.

Uriah Heep "Live 1973":  Ken Hensley B.C.  Great album, too bad the band crash'd and burned so hard.  I'd repent after living through that, too.

Rainbow "On Stage" 1976.  Ronnie James Dio and the living penis Ritchie Blackmore actually tolerated each other long enough to put out this great live album.  Deep Purple's "Made in Japan" doesn't make the cut compared to this Rainbow double-live LP.

Allman Brothers:  Can't miss "Live at the Fillmore..."  of course, but check out their live DVD "At the Beacon" from 2003.  The new blood in this band are clearly musicians of a high caliber.

Bob Dylan:  Live 1975.  Particularly good on many tracks, as there are many musicians besides Dylan performing!

Phish:  Get all six CD's of "Hampton Comes Alive" :  Definitive live Phish with great fidelity.

Rush: "All the World's a Stage".  Perhaps this will be surpassed by their excellent live DVD "R30".  Only time will tell.

UFO's 1977ish "Strangers In the Night":  This album is a nut n' bolts how-to on playing rock and roll.  Mandatory listening for anyone in a rock n' roll band.

Hello Again,

Since I started this thread!!!  Thanks for all the replies!!!  Very interesting!!!  But what about"Fleetwood Mac's", "Rumours" (I can't remember the correct spelling!!!) and "Joe Crockers", Greatest Hits", "You Are So Beautiful". The best thing about the music, never minding what it is! Just putting it on and enjoying!!!
Oh! Well!! Thanks for the thoughts and responses. As always, all the best!!!

Rumours is one of my top three. It's a Beautiful Day by Beautiful day and Abbey Road by the Beatles. In Search of the Lost Chord and On the Threshold of a Dream by the Moody Blues are right behind.

Well if the question is what do you personally like, vs what is...."best" ('cause best opens up a whole can of subjective worms),

my "like", has to be Neil Finn's "Seven Worlds Collide" DVD (the CD version is incomplete)

I almost get tears in my eyes when I listen to this, not because it is sad....but because it is so beautiful.
