Ryan, you have the Bel model right. I guess there may not be a point to doing that then. Just looking for ideas. Passively biamping.

George, I had success when I first purchased the Sonatas from you with 2 of the Bels on each speaker, so thought Ryan's might take me there again, but for alittle less. I sold one pair of Bels to free up funds for trying this type of thing again. The right single Bel has now been powering down during large passages, so thought this may be an option.

Zapper,

I think you would do well with a single set of amps with higher output levels (greater dynamic headroom for those exciting passages).  :D

I have been asking you about that type of thing in PMs. Waiting to hear on the 300w and 600w versions you had mentioned in the PMs. I would rather go that way. :thumb:
Let me know when you do.
Thanks Z

Hey everyone,

Well I've sold almost every last one of these (we have about 7-8 pairs left).
I'm going to be on vacation from today until the 24th - I will be checking my email though not as frequently.
If you want to place an order just email me and I will check the list.  Thanks!  :D

Alright I'm back from our trip - now I need another.

I've gone over all the paypal payments, checks and money orders and from what I have received we have nine (9) pairs of the Amp1's left right now.  I believe there are two more checks coming so it might be 7 pairs but I have not seen those checks.

Thanks to everyone who bought a pair and I hope you enjoy them immensely.

What else is in the works, Ryan?  I'm interested in trying some of your handiwork, but the Leviathons are out of my price range, too.  I'd be interested to see if you've got more basic stuff coming out.

...let it be known I am very excited for 2007.

Hi Guys
This is what are you guys waiting for allright??? I just want to share my experience with all of you about these little amps. My little amps arrived last week, and It's been running for about 50-60 hrs so still need another 60-80 hrs before get the best out of these. First impression of these amps right out the box is very good build even it's really light. But my little amps is pretty special. On the face plate has Red Dragon Audio Logo and brand, at the back it's been tweaked with Cardas Copper Binding Posts and RCA inputs WBT next gen and the rest are exactly the same. Inside the power suppy caps has been changed and replaced with 4x than stock capacitance. but I forget what brand sorry :)

Now Sound quality:
Right Out the box the sound is really thin, clear and the bass is huge but uncontrol I think that's pretty normal then I kept burning it with XLO CD burn-in for first 10 hrs and continue playing music for another 40 hrs and now it's reaching more than 50 hrs. Yesterday I listen to my favourite CD (Chinese Song) :) it usually sound is bit bright and created sibilance from my previous power amp. But yesterday sound is beautiful the details are there but remain smooth from mid to high and the bass is really thight, sound is never aggresive even i pump up the volume. This is my first time trying digital amp, and it kills my Audio Refinement amp 2 even still not 100% break-in. For the price is very hard to beat for under $800 and Ryan is really helpful guy to deal with, one more thing i want to say his service and communication is excellent  :thumb:
Here is the list of my componets that I use
1) CD player/dvd player universal Marantz DV 7600
2) Preamp Audio Mirror T 61 (tubes 6N1P)
3) Power amp Audio Refinement Multi 2 (in the box now) replaced with Red Dragon Amp 1 (Volex PC shielded)
4) Speaker Jm Lab Cobalt 816S
5) Speaker cables and interconnect all Audio Art SC 5, IC 1 and IC 3 (really Giant Killer product for the price)
6) Power Cord Supra Lorad 2.5, Shunyata Diamondback and Volex PC(Shielded)
7) Quantum Electroclear and Eichman Power Strip

I hope whoever bought these amps please put your comments or impression in this threat, so it can be helpful to all AC member.

Cheers
Hardi

hey Ryan, and others,I have enjoyed mine right off the bat, used with a atoll pre amp,I mean what can you say, deep tight bass, great mids and highs,no compatibility issues that i ran into.As for interconnects went Apogee  wyde eye didnt do it,Signal cable from amps to pre did work better.i sold a Sonograph sa250, and the amp 1's bested the cj pretty easy.

If these amps ever appear again, count me in! Unfortunately I had just puchased a new amp days before the amp1 was announced. Red Dragon amps have an insiders' reputation and deserve a place at least as large as Newforce enjoys.
