It's been off the market, this is the new version (AFAIK). Looks like a good deal, the diy hifi stuff generally seems to be well regarded for the $$. Can't know until someone tries it though

I picked up a used ("classic") later-in-the-production-run Bix and am very impressed. It hands down trumped my previously modified MMF-5. I posted some ramblings about this over in the decware forum.

I've been enjoying this table immensely and experimenting with different oils, belts and various dampening tweeks to minimize the noise eminating from the brushes on the DC motor. I can follow up on any details if interested, but in short if the new one is anything like the original, its quite a deal.

It was a bit of a leap of faith, but in the end I've been quite pleased.

I'm curious about the new one too ...

I've seen a few of the older Bix tables on Audiogon for between $500.00
and $650.00 ... or there-about ... I was hoping to pick up the demo at last year's
Rocky Mountain Audio Fest ... but fell asleep at the wheel ...

I haven't seen anything posted anywhere about the new one ...

Maybe the owners are too busy listening to music ... that's what happens to me ...

is this old?

Not sure, but I think so.

I'd suggest working directly with the source on this table. Brian @ DIYHIFI I've found to be quite helpful and responsive.

FWIW, I think those are very good deals on a very good table.
