unbelieveable...but, niiice to hear. maybe more vinyl choices on the way.I just found out yesterday Ben Harper has a couple releases on vinyl....under $20.00, too. Somehow, I have less of an issue paying $15-20 for vinyl, than $10-15 for a CD...it feels like there's more 'to it' (aside from sound quality)
Since I sell so much stuff on ebay, I was going through my vinyl the other day and saw this Prince album and looked up what it was going for. HOLY Sh**- these were going from $125-$250, so I put it up on ebay and had a guy offer me $300 offline, which I took...
The RIAA sales figures may not support the vinyl boom here in the USA, but all the Virgins and some of the Towers in NYC are dedicating a LOT more floor space to vinyl, so it keeps me happy.
The figures definately don't support that here, and I'm pretty certain they don't there, either. Reading his statement carefully reveals that he's not exactly saying that's the case.Still, if you like vinyl it doens't appear to be going away.Yeah, I'm only talking about the mainstream record stores in NYC- Virgin and Tower. The RIAA sales figures don't support the boom here like the figures in the UK.
