F-100,Did you use a fuse? Is there one in the IEC? What size?Al
You can find it here (I think this is the right one) for $3.50:http://www.cascadesurplus.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/856Chad
F-100, you're now my new hero! I can't believe you can pull this thing off so remarkably I just went to ebay to check on the power supply again, it's $27 including shipping! I don't see anyone selling for $2.50..Ok, price aside, when I look at your DIY power supply, it seems to me still requiring at bit of work, i would have no clue how to connect all these wires...I should have attended some electrical engineering courses.. Well done!
There is another company that sell the same power supply for $16 shipped. Here is the link:http://cgi.ebay.com/Condor-Power-supply-HA15-0-9-A-OUTPUT-12-15VDC-0-9A_W0QQitemZ7549596976QQcategoryZ11772QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemLatest update: I decided to go with the panel mount fuse holder from RadioShack instead of the IEC with fuse. I also updated pictures with the final shot of the power supply.
JDUBS - Wouldn't you be better served with a +5Vdc powersupply for this application?
