Vinyl_lady goes digital -- :) David Gilmour - Live in Gdansk concert DVD. This is a great DVD with Richard Wright and The Baltic Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. Incredible light show during Echoes and Comfortably Numb rocks :guitar: :drums:

I have the vinyl box set of the concert and this DVD is a "must have for any Pink Floyd and/or Gilmour fan. :thumb:

Rebecca Pidgeon:  The New York Girl's Club (1996)

Alluring album, Rebecca reminds me of an early Joni Mitchell. You can sample her singing here.

A DVD-Audio Explorer ripped 24-bit/96kHz wav version of 3 Doors Down Seventeen Days DualDisc

through my Christmas present Logitech Squeezebox on a pair of loaned Fritzspeakers Carbon 7's.  Sounds absolutely fantastic.  Fritz's Carbon 7's blow away my Paradigm Reference Studio 100 v.4's.  They sound so much more lifelike producing every bit of the bass I was seeking when I upgraded to the 100's (from 40's) and none of the fatiguing aluminum tweeter brightness.  I highly recommend them.

martin, i am sure the fritzspeakers are great.  but seriously - studio 100's in a 11x12 room?  i suspect many monitor-sized speakers will do better than the 100's in a room that size...  were the 100's really better than the 40's in there?  if you want great bass in that room, (regardless of which monitor you are using), check this out:

I was in a much larger space when I replaced the 40's.  The 100's had the bass impact the 40's lacked in that space.  When I moved into my current room the 100's completely overloaded it.  The 40's would have probably been fine in the smaller room.

I put in the room treatment to eliminate that overloading and the 100's are nearly flat to 20 Hz (measured using TrueRTA).  There is a slight bump around 100 Hz that I am still working to eliminate.

I am not a fan of using subwoofers for music...

The master in the studio turns in a wonderful sounding HDCD that turns back the clock for me musically. Van Dyke Parks' lyrics makes no sense but I love them anyway. This is what "Pet Sounds" should have been. Full of sonic joy!
