We have been listening to this record every Christmas since our first was born...

I haven't played this in years, but decided to listen to it today...the ballad, She Goes On reminds me of first loves.

Art Davis - A Time Remembered

Classic Records 24/96 DVD-A.  The quality of this recording is simply stunning
and these terrific performances make it all worth while.  Highly recommended
for all jazz fans.  Features Ravi Coltrane on tenor and soprano sax and Herbie
Hancock on piano.

The Electric Banana
Blows Your Mind

Although this album is billed to the Electric Banana, almost anyone with a deep knowledge of 1960s rock can tell right away that it's a front for the Pretty Things. This is a package of 15 songs from the series of soundtrack albums the group did in the late '60s for De Wolfe. Basically, it's the same thing as the Electric Banana LP that came out on Butt Records in the late '70s, with the addition of three songs (from the first of the De Wolfe albums, in 1967) that sound like tepid Emotions outtakes, and the "Rave Up" instrumental from 1969's Even More Electric Banana. As a whole, it's fitfully interesting psychedelia, in which you can sometimes hear the group test ideas that surfaced on their proper late-'60s albums

Robert Lucas- Luke and The Locomotives (Audioquest CD).  Read on AA that this musician passed recently.  This R&B disc was recorded by Joe Harley, btw, and has explosive rich sound.
