Hi Mike, I am sure James can answer your questions more accurately.
In your experience which one sounds the best?
Well when i had the 4B ST i remember it being quite musical and immpressive.
I never had another Bryston of earlier make at the time to compare it with.
The NPB is not bad, but a direct comparison is not possible at this time.
I like real good bass slam, and am wondering if i can be "barking up the wrong tree".
Listen to Rock/Country and no classical or Jazz which i.m.o. has no bass slam.......
Between my older Bryston 4B pro and the NRB the background is definitly "blacker" and the amp itself seems quieter and has the soft start....if thats what it is called.
I.M.O. neutral which alot of people talk about is bland, personally i like the bass to hit you in the chest.
With all the Neutral this and that about 3/4s of your cd/record collection sounds like crap.
Lets get the woofers moving again!!
