Ugh.  I can't stand Disney, and now Pixar is part of the Disney fold.

If you can't beat them, buy them.

Disney had wanted to buy Pixar but Jobs wouldn't sell to Eisner; something about Eisner being an a-hole.  Makes sense for Disney, if the talents stays.  Pixar has done many of Disney's animation films.

Big news for Blu-Ray if this gets set in concrete, since Disney is currently backing BR.

Blu Ray will win by default with Pixar now on board....and no amount of hd player discounting by the other camp can overcome the lack of studio support by
MGM
Sony Pictures
Fox
Miramax
Disney
Lions Gate
Pixar
Columbia Tri Star

I see zero incentive for Blu Ray to be interested in a universal player either....as all of this exclusive studio support + the huge potential of the PS3 sales...looks to have Blu Ray as the long term , or possibly even short term winner by default.

Basically, if you don't care about King Kong, you're pretty good to go.
