Where to buy Blue Tak or other equivalent?
« on: 29 Dec 2005, 02:32 am »
Where can I get it?  Or should I try some other substance?  I remember reading somewhere that Blue Tak would stick to the speaker and the outer part of the wood would peel off.  Are there other substances you recommend?

Thanks in advance

What exactly should I get?

Reusable adhesive?  Not tacky glue, right?  It comes in like a stick or something and you can peel it off and stuff like that?

Something like the "DAP Fun Tak" listed at: http://www.office1000.com/discount/adhesive-reusable.html
(near the bottom)

Thanks.

Here's a place you can get "the original Bostik Blu-Tak"

http://www.neverseezproducts.com/BluTack.htm

$27 for a pack of 12.  Note that each pack contains something like six 8"  strips, and each strip is probably good for 4 pairs of speakers.  So for $27, you have enough Blu-Tak for about 280 pairs of speakers.... :D

Phil,

Thanks.  This is BY FAR the best price I've seen for blue-tak so far.
