Isn't it true that you are guaranteed that Slimserver will play them in alphabetical (or ASCII) order?

I have observed that a file named '001Track.flac' will play before a file named '002Track.flac' etc.

your right it will - but I like it displayed this way for example:

(5) Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd

instead of

002Track.flac

 :?

I thought so. So, getting the (5) Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd is a lot of typing, no? I take it that is where tags come in.

Every CD known to man is recorded somewhere on the Web, right?
