Hi all,
No this is not for turkey, well at least not yet.

Stuffing for speakers that is

Calling all the DIYer speaker builders. I want to know what is your favorite speaker stuffing.
I have only used Acousta-stuff for my home made TQWT and the smaller one base on non-taper Voigt pipe. That's seem to works fine. But I wonder if there is something better suit for my speaker. For my design, I think it would be best to use something that work best absorbing the lower mid to higher freq. So, I won't be choking the line with too much stuffing.
So, what is you take or expreince on this.
1. Acousta-stuff.
I'm using this right now and so far seem to work fine. But have not compare to other stuff. The good thing about this is that is not dangerouse as the yellow fibergalss.
2. Natural wool.
This was my other consideration but it cost a bit more and might atract bugs. I might give this a try since I think it will be more absorben at higher freq.
3. Yellow or Pink fiberglass.
What is the difference between the yellow and pink one? They are cheap and easily find. But my concern is that is not good for your skin and even more dangerous if it get airborne and get into your lung!

Especially woring in small NYC apt.
So, any speaker builder want to share your take or experience on this?
Take care,
Buddy
