It is the basically the same as the SB2 in a new, fancy case.

The 3.3 volt regulator has been changed to a linear supply rather than the switcher (which I do as part of the mod to the SB2) and the antennas are both internal.

It does look like it may be a bit hard to fit the big Sonicap coupling caps inside the case.

I suggest you pick up the SB2 while there are still some left.

Maybe a hole could be cut into the back of the SB3 to make space for larger caps?

I wonder if the price won't drop quite a bit more on the sb2 as they transition to the new one...hmm
