I'm getting an occasional buzzing sound from one of my 626Rs. It's in the midrange ribbon, and I've isololated it to the speaker by swapping cables. It's most noticeable on the tracking and antiskate tracks on the Hi-Fi News & Record Review LP, where it absolutely will not move to the other speaker no matter how much I adjust antiskate or azimuth. I initially noticed it in the deep bass and occasionally the vocals on Al Green's "Simply Beautiful" (from the original LP).
I tightened all the screws around the ribbon, but no dice.
I'm afraid I might have blown the ribbon when I was blasting some AC/DC earlier in the day.
Any recommendations, or do I have to send the speaker in?
It must be only one frequency that sends it into buzz mode... and a fairly unusual one.
Thanks in advance,
J!
