Hi All,
Jsut a quick one, I am considering buying a set of B&W 804's or 805's. The 804's apparently can dip to 3 ohms and work best with amps that can deliver high current at times. I am assuming that this is fine for the AKSA, but can anyone confirm for me.

Hi Matt,
Confirming my AKSAs have no problem at low ohms (my Maggie ribbon is supposed to be 3 ohms and the mid-panel is either 3 or 3.9 ohms - but who knows what they drop to at certain frequencies) but, like your B&Ws, Maggies like high-current amps and I am currently wondering whether my AKSA 100 is "man-enough" for the base panels!!
I know the AKSA 100 has a big instantaneous-current capability but I don't know whether this can be classified as in the "high current" class ... compared to, say, Crown, Phase Linear, Innersound etc.
I can only say my Maggies SOUND fantastic

... but am I really in audio heaven or just a simulcra!!??

I guess I'll nevva know till I try something else!!
Regards,
Andy
