Just thinking outloud

$500 is a lot for a guy who has no intention of buying anything    A student's only got so much money  :P
Its not so much the buying...its the listening to whats out there, and being able to hear things you can't hear...even in LA...and NYC. 8)

Exactly!  But I'm still trying to justify going to RMAF over building, say, some visaton b200 dipole thingamabobs.

For all you AC members who come to the RMAF, if you plan to arrive a little before or stay a little after, I'll be happy to demo the Revelation, since I know it won't be on display at the show.  Since I'm not exhibiting this year, I'll also be free on and off during the show.  Be sure to look me up so we can have a drink   or whatever other activity in Denver you'd like to do.

Steve,

Did you install the new tweeter yet?

Since I am coming in on the 29th, I would love to come over and hear the system.

George

Hi George,

Yes, the new tweeters were installed couple of weeks ago. Here is preview. They are still breaking in since I've been vacationing the last couple of weeks. But by the time RMAF comes around they should be ready to ROCK
Call or email me when the time is near so we can hook up.

George,
I remember what you said the last time you heard the SP Tech's at last years RMAF....[/list:u]

The best room of the day by far (it was the best room I have ever heard) was the SP Tech room with their new floorstanding speaker. It is expensive ($23K fully loaded), but it was breathtaking.

I see that Anchor brewing is at the beer festival. Very good beer from San Francisco Ca. I see that Samuel Adam's brewing will not be there. That's a shame because that's my favorite. Guess I'll have to drink Anchor's.

                                             Cheers
                                              Charlie

P.S. Made my room reservation. I'll book a flight next week. Going to fly United and will get there around noon on the 30th

I have a question for last year's attendee's....do you know if the concert is included with the price of admission to the show ? In the past at the NYC show's it was....then this year, NYC 2005, it was a separate ticket admission for the concert. Thanks !! :)

Last year the concert was separate, but I had a great spot and
it cost me $15. Don't know the price this year.

We are planning on attending the show.  As you may know, ModWright used our cables throughout their demo system at last year's RM show for the debut the ModWright Instruments SWL 9.0 tube linestage preamplifier.  Of course we showed with ModWright and Channel Islands Audio at 2005 T.H.E. Show in Las Vegas.  But from all I have heard previously and recently, the Rocky Mountain Audio Show seems like it is our kind of show.  Since we are not showing at this show, we will have a chance to enjoy the demo's and exhibits, which is what we would much rather do.  It will also give us a chance to shake hands with many of you there.

You guys be sure to introduce yourselves when you come by our exhibit room.

I will be giving out free T-shirts to all of our customers and to any AC members that would like one.

If anyone coming out (vendors or attendees) has any questions about the area, post away.  If any of the vendors thinks they might need something that a local can help with post as well (I suppose I can only talk for myself, but I'll lend a hand where I can).

It looks like the Broncos and Rockies are playing away that weekend, but the Rapids are in town (professional soccer).  As mentioned, the Beer Festival is the big thing that weekend.

          Thanks !![/list:u]

Most clubs and bars in Denver close around 2AM.  I was never an 'after-hours' guy, so I'm not sure what there is to do after then.
