Hello Guys,
Well I booked my flight (Jet Blue), and got a room (great rate) at the Denver Marriott Tech Center for the
Rocky Mountain Audio Fest on Sept. 30, Oct, 1 & 2. I'm looking forward to going to this show...for a number of reasons.[/list:u]
First, it will give me the chance to hear some gear from smaller companies that never make it to the NYC shows. And, quiet a few have Circle's here on AC. Great ! 8) [/list:u]
Second, because of the location, Denver, CO., I hope to meet some of the guy's I know from posting here. This way I can put a face to a name. From the picture's and posts from last years show, it looked like a better, more relaxed show than whats put on in NY !! :D [/list:u]
And, on Friday nite, 8 PM, a concert by blues guitarist, Jimmy D. Lane , featuring Stevie Ray Vaughan’s rhythm section, Double Trouble. And, blues man Lazy Lester. :smoke: [/list:u]
So...whose going ? Looking forward to meeting some fellow AC members... [/list:u]
            Chris[/list:u]

No jet blue from Oakland Ca. to Denver. Gotta fly United. If you see an old fart wearing a U.S.S. Hornet cap that's probably me. Wear cap keep bald head from getting sun burn.

                                Cheers

Ever wish you could be in 3 places at one time?  I have 2 weddings in 2 cities on the same day... but I had to choose one.... family won over friends in this case...

And it sounds like this RMAF is going to be a blast.  Of all the shows I've wanted to go to, this is 'the one' I'd make special plans to attend... In fact, I had planned on going this year not knowing the date... ugh.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great time, hears lots of great gear and has lots of stories to tell.  Please have a beer for me. ;)

Hi George and Chris,

Since I won't be an exhibitor this year so that frees me up to browse the other rooms. Also if you guys are coming a day or two before the show I'll be more than happy to show you guys around.

Am I right in estimating that the trip will probably cost somewhere in the ballpark of $500?

Well, your out west...but from NY...Round Trip air...$217.00 Jet Blue...and the special on rooms, $79.00 a nite. To me, this is a bargin.
Oh, and don't forget $8,000.00 to spend at the show... [/list:u]

I booked my flight and room this morning. I didn't go last year but everyone seemed to dig it, so I figured I better go check it out this time.

I hope to meet alot of you there!

Unfortunately, jetblue doesn't do denver from out west (wth?)

That makes it $271 for the round trip, $32 for the shuttle to the hotel, $160 for two nights, $20-30 to get in the door, and food.  Yeah, that's going to be over $500...I didn't even figure in any taxes yet.

I want to go very much but $500 is pushing it for my shoe string budget.

A bus ride on Greyhound would run you $118.00 R/T(7 Day advance purchase)...but it takes 24 hours to get there...but you get a nice view. :?

$500 is a lot for a guy who has no intention of buying anything    A student's only got so much money  :P
