But on recordings where i am 100% certain that the singer is in the middle and hook up the system the way its supposed too the image is off center, so i dont think its software dependant.

you misunderstand me - phase is software dependent.  all i am suggesting is that you hook up the system incorrectly - as shown on the right side of your drawing - except without reversing phase.  i still think this set-up will give you the proper centered image.  as i said in my first post to this thread - my feeling is that your amp has a channel imbalance that is made worse by room set-up.  switching the amp channels, which is what you are effectively doing by switching speaker cabling *and* cdp cabling, rebalances this so it sounds centered in your room.

Aaah, well now i see what you mean. This could very well be, maybe the big DIVA's are a tad too big for the small Pathos and cause a imbalance. I will wait and see what the big Ampzilla 2000's or the Sphinx Project 18 do in a few days.

try the rm30's & see if you have similar results.  i think the amp itself has a channel imbalance, as you also said earlier - may or may not be the tubes in the amp.  it could be the volume pot, or???

Ill give it a try on the 626, since i am too lazy to carry the RM30's to my listening room    Did you sell your kit for the RM40's yet?

626 (& even rm30) may not be as noticable, as they are much smaller than your divas, & may not load the room as much, but i think you will still find the same issue of channel imbalance w/the your pathos.  especialy since your substitute amp did not have this issue.  curious - did you try swapping channels of the substitute amp to see if it got worse, or stayed the same?

re: my rm40 kit, still no sell.   :|   i can't undertand why someone wouldn't wanna "roll their own", w/a cabinet narrower at the midrange ribbons - it would make for a speaker much better than the rm40, as even brian cheney admitted.  for $2k, the kit is a great deal, imo.  i really wish my personal circumstances dint prohibit me from building them myself.   :(   know anyone in germany that may be interested?  w/no cabinets, shipping would sure be a lot cheaper!
