Bryston 7B sst mono block running hot
« on: 19 Nov 2025, 04:56 pm »
Hi everyone, new to this site and hoping for some help with one of my mono block amps. I was listening last night at a fairly high volume... (dB was 93) and when going to power off my system I noticed that one of my amplifiers was very hot to the touch, I took a heat gun and it showed 137 degrees on the top surface. Is this something normal? or something to be concerned with. Thanks in advance!

The Bryston amps can get quite hot to the touch, I don't think 137 degrees is too hot.    I would be more concerned about one amp being hot while the other is not.  Bias might be out on one of them.

I have a 2B-LP that if left one not playing for one day, the left channel is definetly warmer than the other.  Will have to get that looked at some day.
