What's everyone's experience with GR Research speaker cables?

I'm one of those who can't—or just hasn't yet—heard the difference between cables...maybe I'm one of the lucky ones! And yet, some curiosity remains.

I have the most experience with:

Blue Jeans Ten White
Anticables
Audio Art

Does anybody else think that there's a reason to go any further up the food chain than Blue Jeans, or should I put my curiosities to rest?

I'm with you on cable. I do see a difference, sometime, but it is usually very subtle.
You need a very well tuned system to see a different: decent gear (source, pre-amp, amp, speaker), decent room, and very well position speaker in order to get a good sound stage. Without a good sound stage there's not much difference to be noted.
I was using Transparent MusicWave. I changed for GR Research 24 strands speaker cable. I saw a small improvement: a bit more definition between instruments. I guess I could say a more defined sound stage. But it was minimal. But I really like the idea to building these cables. That was fun (lots of work but fun).
As a reference, my system consist of PS Audio SACD transport, Schitt Gungnir DAC, Simaudio preamp (P5003), F5M amp, speaker XL-S Encore, one GR Research Double Trouble sub. All inter-connect GR Research.
Have fun in your endeavor!
Edited: forgot to mention I'm a old man (60) which can't barely ear anything above 12k Herz...

Not to wax poetic or speak on others' behalf, but if they're good enough to be in Tyson's system, I'm in to try it. He's given me some solid advice along the way that always paid sonic improvements, so it's worth a weekend project and a few $$ to try in my opinion.

Tyson's System

Once I'm done building my next amp, I'll take on the million strand speaker cable project.  I have some of the IC-8 interconnects and they are very nice, and one hell of a deal. If the speaker cables are anything like that, you're in for a treat.

I started with basic zip cables, moved to other brands, built the 24 strand cables from Danny, never tried anything else, they sound more open and the sound stage is more pinpoint, they just work well in my system. No reason to change, for me the search is over for speaker cables. Moving on to other links in the audio chain. I can recommend them without any concerns.

Thanks man :).

Yeah the GR Research cables are good enough that they deserve really good connectors, so I would advise putting on something by ETI or WBT if you can.  I find plain old gold plated copper to be the best sounding connectors in my setup.

Of course I've moved on to different speaker cables, some next-gen craziness from Hapa Audio, lol.

One of the few cables I've heard that beat GR Research, but for a pretty $ extra. Jason makes phenomenal stuff. Certainly not DIY kit friendly. Lol. Not looking to cross contaminate AC circles, but yeah I agree.

I moved on from GR Research speaker cables with stock connectors for a pair that cost 4x more with premium connectors, and I didn't hear any difference. When you gamble, sometimes you lose. So yeah, I highly recommend GR Research speaker cables.
