The intrepid Wendell Diller has been busy.
It looks like there's a new project coming up, this looks really interesting.

"The MaggieBASS™ integration system is incorporated exclusively within Danville's DSP to form a system approach to more and better bass."

Finally

I'm going to have to hit up one of the tour dates, I want to hear this one.

Isn’t this pretty much the bass unit Magnepan has been touting for years but never released?  Any indication it will finally be released, or is this just more “show”?

PS - When was that written/posted?

It was sent to me this morning.

I don't know if the sides make any difference to the sound but I'd prefer the wood finish to match my speakers.

I'll post new developments as I get them.

I agree with Steve wood sides would look much better. These look like a granite counter store's idea of built in counter speakers for a kitchen.

For my 1.7i s, I use a custom downfire Rythmik F12 servo drive sub. It seems to do quite well, but If budget permitted GR Research Double Trouble open baffle subs would be my go to. Dont know for sure, but probably more affordable then the Maggie sub.

Add a second Rythmik.  I use dual Martin Logan subs and the second sub just increased the depth and width of the sound stage.   I also own a RythmiK F12se.  It is a great sub.
