Hi all - I've been working on a 1219 that fell into my hands. The platter doesn't turn when the motor comes on. It appears that the idler wheel isn't being pushed over against the motor shaft. That, in turn, seems to be related to the speed selector switch, which was gummed up. In the process of disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of that mechanism, I managed to screw myself up in two ways:
1. Damaged the vinyl keeper washer for the idler wheel.
2. Lost my grip on the idler shaft spring, which promptly flew off to some obscure corner of the room.
So now I have to ask, are these parts (vinyl washer and spring) generic enough that they're available off the shelf? If not, where might I find a source for replacements?? I'm seeing plenty of parts on eBay, but not these. Sometimes people sell idler wheels with washers included, but so far I don't think the idler is in bad shape. (Of course, I'm not sure whether putting it all back together will render the table "fully functional," but I'll cross that bridge if and when I get to it.)
I am in southwest Ohio and prefer to buy from a US source.
