Digikey Parts Number question for Cornet
« on: 12 May 2005, 01:01 am »
Hello-

I am rounding up the parts for my Cornet 2, and punched up Digikey part # P11423CT-ND, from the parts list, and it came up as a 250V ceramic cap.  But the description in the parts list is a 2kV cap.  Mouser has a Wima  MKP10 with the specified voltage.  Should I go for that?

Thanks,
Dan

Yeah, that's the ac rating.  Special cap made for 125Vac or 250Vac across the power line applications.  Also handles 2kV or something like that at dc.

Switch to the 4.7nF value.  I think that one is in stock.  This cap is just for noise reduction, value not critical.

They also have other 470uF caps from other manufacturers.  Their online search works well to narrow down.  Type in 470uF and then whittle through the choices to select another part number.  They sell a dozen versions of this value cap.
