Hello,

my Nuprime transport CDT-8 pro with HDMI i2s connection go only in DSD mode not in PCM (with any frequency). The DAC is Denafrips Terminator and HDMI's pins match. The HDMI cable 2.0 is an excellent product (24AWG OCC) length 1 meter. The PCM mode go with AES/EBU cable. What could be the problem?

Check that your DAC's I2S port uses the same pin spec as Nuprime:


You can still use other outputs from CDT-8Pro to connect to your DAC.

The Dac Denafrips Terminator has  I²S pinout configuration....if the configuration is wrong, it shouldn't work in  DSD mode instead go with DSD's upsampling.

Nuprime gear uses the PS Audio I2S pinout and Denafrips does not.

I have already written that Denafrips has configurable pins. I actually set it as PS audio I2S pinout. With DSD it goes; with PCM it doesn't work . Why?

Why don't you e-mail Alvin at Vinshine directly and ask him. I only tried my CDT-8 with two DACs, PS Audio and Holo and it worked fine with both.  Also try another cable and see if that's the problem.  Any cheap one you have laying around that you know works will do.

I have tried different cables, they are not the problem. What's Alvin's e-mail?
