Clever people,
Came across this site researching for a copper-litz speaker wire project. Having experienced a lot with different Duelund cables, I'd got interested in making a speaker cable based on pure copper instead of tinned copper (as is the material mostly available today).
I came across the products from Jupiter, which are mentioned here:
https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=111177.0I'm especially interested in the discussion of how to avoid oxidation. The traditional Duelund cables were based on pure silver in a sleeve of silk that was treated with raw linseed oil for several days at low temperatures.
I'd be interested in doing something similar with around 8 strands of Jupiter AWG 23 wire (which would correspond to AWG 16, if my calculations are right).
That sums up why I wanted to join this forum.
Current setup is Sugden A21SE Signature amplifier, Leben RS-EQ 30 RIAA, Harbeth M30's & a Project X2 turntable.
Best,
Kasper
