I am working up making high pass filters for 2 way speakers, for using with subs.  My Ayre VX-5 Twenty amp has an input impedance of 2M Ohm - Balanced.  Yes, 2 Meeeeelion.  I want balanced connections, which means 1M Ohm per leg.  If high pass crossing ~80hz, that means a cap of .002uF.  I am a novice with this stuff.  Any recommendations on a source for very high quality caps in that spec?  Places like VH Audio don't appear to carry stuff like that.

That is also a 2000pF value.

Since this is for line input, you can also look at polystyrene metal foil caps for RF work.  Most start at 63VDC when I use them.  They also come in 1% and 2% tolerance for matching.

I don't know if these are high enough voltage for you, but there are 8- 2200pf Nissei copper/polystyrene 100V caps on the Bay for $30. Those should sound good, but I'm not sure the voltage is hefty enough for your application.

There's also the 2200pf 500V Charcroft silver mica caps at PartsConnexion. Those are very high quality and the tolerance is 1% with a higher voltage rating.
